What exactly is Boudoir Photography?
Boudoir photography originates from the French
term “boudoir” meaning a woman’s bedroom or private sitting
room, which is exactly what we recreate for you in our studio
setting. So essentially it is sexy provocative photography of a
woman in a bedroom setting. A boudoir session would feature you
in a classy rich romantic setting, using a variety of props and
various sexy lingerie outfits.
Who books a Boudoir Session?
Boudoir photography sessions are for women who
wish to capture their personal beauty and create stunning sexy
and proactive images for themselves, or for their loved one.
Many of our clients just want to celebrate their
sexiness in stunning images, and capture that look for
posterity, and some have imagined and fantasized about being a
“Playboy” model and want to have that experience. We are here to
help make that dream a reality.
Boudoir photography makes the perfect romantic
gift for your loved one to share during special occasions such
as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and of course Valentine’s
Day.
How old must I be?
You must be 18 years of age and be able to show
proof of ID prior to your Photoshoot in order to do a Boudoir
Photoshoot..
I am concerned about privacy. Who will photograph my session
and be present during the shoot?
To make your session a comfortable and great
experience we offer the choice of either a male or female
photographers. Our photographers, Danny, Brian and Victoria have
similar yet slightly varying photography styles and will guide
you in posing throughout your session. Present during your
session will be your photographer of choice and a makeup artist
/ hairstylist if ordered. If you want, you are welcome to bring
a fun, outgoing girlfriend to assist during the shoot – somebody
whom you have fun with when you party – someone who brings the
best out of you, and doesn’t judge you.
I am concerned with privacy. How secure are my photos? Who
will see my boudoir photographs?
We respect your privacy and we handle you
photographs with the utmost care and respect. Your privacy is
guaranteed. Apart from the photographer and assistants on set
(if any) no-one else will see your images without your consent.
Your images will not be posted anywhere without your express
written consent. We are very honored and appreciative of our
many clients who have given us permission to be featured on our
website and in our portfolio.
How do I prepare for my session?
Get a good night sleep before your boudoir
photography shoot. Do not wear any tight fitting clothing when
you arrive for your shoot. Any elastics, bra straps, belts, ect
will leave crimp marks on your skin. Arrive in a loose fitting
gown or robe or anything that will not leave crimp marks in your
skin. Avoid eating greasy foods and drink lots of water in the
24 hours prior to the shoot.
What makeup do you recommend for a boudoir photography
session?
We recommend that you use our professional
makeup artists as they really understand how to apply makeup
specifically to get he best out of you in your photos. If you
have hired the makeup artist, please arrive with a freshly
washed face. If you are doing your own makeup, apply your makeup
as if you are going out to party at night – a touch more
pronounced than normal. Do your hair before you leave for the
shoot.
What wardrobe should I bring to a boudoir photography
session?
We suggest a minimum of 5 outfits, but actually
prefer that you bring too much rather than too little. We will
mix and match from your selection to create the perfect stylized
shot. We recommend that you bring a variety of items such as
sexy bra and panty sets, sexy sleep wear, thigh high stocking,
bikinis, cocktail dresses, mini skirts, low-rise jeans, cute
tops, and plenty of fun jewelry and accessories. We do have some
clothing attire and accessories in our prop room, that you may
use during your shoot, but you should bring the majority of your
outfits. Personalize your shoot and get creative! Bring your
boyfriend/ husband’s favorite sports shirt, work shirt & tie, or
surprise him with that sexy nurse outfit he loves on you! Have
all of your outfits clean, ironed, and packed so you’re ready to
go. Arrive with your wardrobe in a roll-aboard suitcase and on
hangers – we have a clothes rack and wardrobe area for you.
What is Artistic Nude Photography?
Artistic nude photography emphasizes the beauty
of the body and its form. These fine art images are typically
outputted in high contrast black and white images and are
created with dramatic lighting and careful attention to detail,
painting the female physique with carefully placed lights
accentuating the curve and flow of the female form.
What if I want both Boudoir and Artistic Nudes?
You are in total control of your photoshoot.
Once you hire us we shoot you, as you wish, in your allotted
time. We do not put a limit on outfit changes or the style of
photography you wish to explore. You may choose to do a mix of
boudoir and artistic nude photography during a single session.
What is Glamour Photography?
Glamour photography is a general term that
represents glamorous and sexy images of the female, and puts all
the focus on the beautiful model. Glamour photography highlights
the model’s natural features creating soft, alluring, glamorous
and sexy images. Glamour photography can encompass clothed,
lingerie, bikini, topless and nude images.
What is the difference between glamour and fashion
photography?
In fashion photography, the female is chosen to
sell the wardrobe. The model is the prop for the garments that
are to be featured. In glamour photography it is exactly the
reverse. In glamour photography the wardrobe is chosen to “sell”
the subject, the female model, and to accentuate her assets and
limit her weaknesses.
Are there any limits on what you shoot?
We will photograph lingerie, implied nude, semi-
nude, and nude. Our style and photography is very beautiful and
tasteful. We will shoot up to “playboy” style photography. We
abhor exploitational imagery of any form, and we do not shoot
explicit or adult content. We worship and adore the female form
and we seek to flatter and complement the female form at every
opportunity, providing you, our client, with images that you
will treasure for life and show with pride.
I would love to be photographed in my own bedroom. Can you
photograph me in my own house / bedroom / boudoir setting?
Yes we can, with pleasure. We do have an
additional charge for this as we need to transport and spend
time setting up and our lighting in your home, and knock it down
at the end of the shoot. The fee will depend on the distance
travelled and the additional time required.
Will you photograph men in a boudoir setting?
Yes, we enjoy working with and photographing
both men and women, straight and gay.
Will you photograph couples in a boudoir setting?
Yes, we enjoy working with both straight and gay
couples. We are romantics at heart and love to create images
that show romance and love.
I have wanted to do this for so long, but I am so very
nervous…
Absolutely everyone doing a boudoir photography
session feels a little nervous, and yet excited prior to their
photoshoot. It will take about 15 to 20 minutes for you to warm
up in the beginning and before you know it you will be having a
blast! By the end of the session we always hear from our clients
“It was so easy and I had so much fun doing it! I wished I had
done this years ago!”
But I don’t have a model’s body and I have obvious flaws…
First of all, none of the people on our website
look like that in real life. The images you see are a
combination of the client’s looks and our artistic and creative
skills.
You don’t need the “perfect body” to look
absolutely amazing in your photographs. The photographer’s job
is to bring out your best features, whether it’s your eyes, cute
smile, or your beautiful long legs, great body, and pose you
just the right way. We are skilled at artfully draping the satin
sheets, and carefully choosing the right wardrobe to complement
your look.
Additionally we carefully place and adjust our
studio lights to highlight your assets and diminish your
weaknesses. And once these stunningly created images are
captured, in our editing studio we take great care to enhance
the overall image using tasteful and creative retouching and air
brushing of your images, and ultimately you are assured of
looking way more stunning in your images than you had ever
imagined. Your partner will love this new sexy side of you!
I’m not a model and don’t know how to pose…
Our photographers will work with you advising
you on how to move and posing you to accentuate your best
features. It always helps to tear out images that you like or
would like to rep-create. We suggest practicing in the mirror
and browsing through some of your favorite magazines to help you
prepare. Searching the internet and bringing in magazine tear
sheets will help us get a feel for the style and type of
photography that you like best. We will do our best to recreate
the images that you like.
How long does it take to get my photos once we have
completed the shoot?
It will take us about 7 to 10 business days to
professionally retouch you images and have them ready for you on
CD.

What is included in my Boudoir Photography Session?
We have 3 standard Boudoir Photography packages
that you may choose from, and we can customize your session
according to your wishes. Our packages are based on time, props,
number of images you taken, and the number of retouched images
you will receive.
Our sessions range in time from 1-½ hours to 4
hours and you will receive anywhere from 200 to 600 professional
images. You will also be assigned full Reprint Rights to your
images, which allows you to make prints where and whenever you
choose. You also have the option of hiring one of our
professional makeup artists and/or hair stylists.
Once my shoot is done, how can I present my images as a gift
to my significant other?
We offer several unique customized products that
will knock his/her socks off! You can surprise him with

a personalized glossy magazine featuring you
in all your sexiness, and/or

a 12 month calendar, and/or
-
or a hard cover photo album, and/or
-
glossy/matte prints, and/or
